West Ham vs Leicester

SUN 11 APR 2021 – KO 14:05

West Ham vs

On Sunday, West Ham and Leicester go head-to-head at the London Stadium, in what could be a big game in the race for the top-four in the Premier League.

The Hammers keep defying expectations, as the Hammers currently sit fourth-place in the table, four points adrift of their third-place opponents, while also being just a point clear of fifth-place, Chelsea. Despite their recent good league position, the Irons recent results have been inconsistent in the Premier League. In fact, David Moyes’ team has won just two of their last five league games.

West Ham have been prolific of late in the top-flight, scoring at least two goals in five of their last seven outings in the Premier League. The form of January signing Jesse Lingard has been particularly impressive, as the England international has scored six goals and also assisted four goals since his arrival.

The Foxes are in a healthy position in the Premier League table. However, Brendan Rodgers team will be wary of another collapse of the likes of last season, where they ended up finishing fifth despite spending much of the campaign in the top four.

Leicester’s recent record is identical to West Ham’s in the Premier League in their last five matches, as they have recorded two wins, drawn once and suffered two defeats. Last time out, the visitors suffered a 2-0 home defeat against Manchester City.

The Foxes are unbeaten in their last ten away games in the Premier League, although four of those games have finished all-square.

Team News

West Ham look set to be without Angelo Ogbonna and Andriy Yarmolenko through injury, while Declan Rice, Darren Randolph and Michal Antonio are all fitness doubts.

For Leicester, James Justin, Harvey Barnes and Cengiz Under are likely to miss this one through injury, with Caglar Soyuncu and Wes Morgan also doubtful for the clash.

Match Prediction

These teams have enjoyed similar runs of form of late. We are backing this game to finish in a highly entertaining draw, as both teams have exciting attacking players.
