West Ham vs Man United

SUN 19 SEP 2021 – KO 14:00

West Ham vs

On Sunday afternoon, West Ham and Man United meet at the London Stadium, with both sides still unbeaten in the Premier League this season.

The Hammers were held to their second consecutive draw in the last game to make it eight points from a possible 12. They drew 0-0 with Southampton, with the biggest talking point of the match being Michail Antonio getting sent off on the 95th minute for a second yellow card.

Last season, West Ham finished sixth, two points off of the top four. So far they are exactly the same. David Moyes has made them a real hard team to beat now and they will look to push for European football once again this year.

Against Man United, West Ham will have their toughest test yet. They have no Antonio who has been so useful at not just scoring goals but also helping them get up the pitch and out of danger. West Ham can harm United and we think this match can be won or lost in the middle of the pitch.

United are currently top of the table, level on points with three other teams. In their last game, they welcomed home Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored twice in their 4-1 win over Newcastle.

The pressure is on the players and the manager this year. They have invested in the squad once again and now have a side that can really challenge for the title. Its game like this where they need to win, if they want to be near the top come May.

We expect Ronaldo will lead the line once again for Man United on Sunday. With him playing it provides a lot more space for the other forwards as the opposition focus on him. United will look to keep West Ham back in their own half and need to nullify any counter attacks as this is where they have looked most vulnerable this season.

Team News

West Ham have Antonio missing just the one game, whilst Winston Reid is still out injured.

Diallo, Cavani, Telles, Rashford and Jonas make up the injury list for Man United.

Match Prediction

With West Ham missing their man and United having theirs back, we see Solskjaers side taking all three points on Sunday.

Odds 3/4
