Antonio Conte’s Inter team head to Verona on Thursday night looking to repair the damage following a surprise defeat to Bologna last Sunday.

Verona have enjoyed a half-decent season in their first year back in the big time. The Serie A new boys still have an outside chance of claiming a Europa League spot. A win against Inter would take them above Sassuolo and leave them just four points behind Italian giants AC Milan.

However, recent form suggests Verona will have a tough time against a well organised Inter side. In their last outing, Verona went down 2-0 away at Brescia. Previous to that result, Verona had beaten Parma 3-2 at home.

Historical results between these two clubs have favoured Inter. The last meeting (Nov 2019) between the sides ended in a 2-1 victory for Milan. When you consider Inter has the second-best away record in the league, this game looks a big ask for the Veronese.

Antonio Conte will be looking to leave Verona with all three points as Inter still have a slim chance of winning the league. However, a shock defeat at home to Bologna at the weekend has derailed their title hopes somewhat.
