Spain take on Poland on Saturday night with both sides looking to get their first wins of Euro 2020. 

SPAIN

The three-time winners are the favorites in their match-up on Saturday night against Poland, priced at 1/3. They drew their first game at this summer’s European Championship with Sweden 0-0. It was a good performance from them in terms of keeping the ball but they struggled in the final third and will need to improve a lot if they want to go all the way.

Spain last won this competition back in 2012 but only managed to get to the Round of 16 in 2016. they will expect to match that at least this summer but need to sort out the issue in front of goal, which could see Luis Enrique make some changes to his side.

Their current squad is full of quality players, that are capable of winning any tournament. De Gea, Morata, Alba, Azpilicueta, Thiago and Rodri to name a few. Granted, it’s not the same level of the Spain squad that won the World Cup and Euros back to back in 2010 and 2012, but still a good side nonetheless!

POLAND

The bookmakers don’t really fancy Poland‘s chances in this one, ricing them at 8/1, but they didn’t fancy Sweden so who knows! They were beaten 2-1 by Slovakia in the first game which was a disappointing performance by them and one they will be looking to improve on here.

Poland’s best-ever finish at the European Championships was at the last one in 2016. They reached the quarter-finals, which was the first time ever they had gotten out of the group stages. Poland were one of the favorites to get out of this group, but the loss has put them right against it now.

In their squad is a lot of well-known players who can cause Spain some issues. Szczesny is the man in goal for Poland, whilst Bednarek, Glik, Klich, and Zielinski are also part of the squad. Their captain though is the main player, Robert Lewandowski, who carries a huge amount of responsibility in these final two games.
