Newcastle and Chelsea go head to head this weekend, with the hosts still in search of their new manager. 

NEWCASTLE

Newcastle stopped the losing streak in their last game, with a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace. It wasn’t their best performance, but a fantastic overhead kick from Calum Wilson was enough to earn them a valuable point.

Newcastle have recently been sold to new owners, after 14 years with Mike Ashley in charge. This is going to be the first game at home without Steve Bruce and it’ll be interesting to see how the fans react.

This is going to be a very tough game for Newcastle who will need to defend a lot better if they are even going to get a point. They looked poor at the back in the last game and we could see stick with a back five and hope to frustrate Chelsea.

CHELSEA

Tuchel’s side had a fantastic game at the weekend. They beat Norwich 7-0 at home, with Mason Mount getting his first hat-trick in professional football. We thought they’d win, but maybe not by this much considering that Werner and Lukaku were out.

Chelsea are looking to win the league this season and are currently top of the league. Their have a great chance of doing so this season and Tuchel has made them very hard to beat. So far this season, they have conceded just three goals, the lowest in the league.

After last weeks performance, Chelsea will be confident of getting another win and should do. We imagine they will play the majority of the game in the oppositions half. It’ll be interesting to see who starts upfront this weekend if both strikers are still out.

Werner, Lukaku and Pulisic are all out, whilst Kante is a doubt.
