On Sunday afternoon, Hibernian and Aberdeen go head-to-head at Easter Road, as the home side looks to continue their recent good form in the SPL.

Hibernian

Hibs have made a highly promising start to the new SPL campaign, as the home team are joint top of the Scottish top-flight alongside Rangers. The team from the Scottish capital are unbeaten in the league, having won four of their first five matches of the new league campaign.

Their recent league matches have been low-scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in their last three SPL matches. The fact that Hibs have kept three straight clean sheets has been a big factor in those recent low-scoring games.

Hibs recent home record has not been great, as the home team have won just one of their previous four league matches at Easter Road.

Aberdeen

The Dons have made a decent start to their SPL campaign, winning two of their last three league matches. Last time out Aberdeen recorded a 6-0 win over NSI in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.

The win means that Aberdeen have recorded three straight competitive wins, as before the European game, the Dons had recorded two back-to-back league wins against St. Johnstone and last time out Livingston.

Derek McInnes’ team are unbeaten in six away games in the SPL dating back to last season, although four of those games finished in draws. Their recent league matches on their travels in the league have been relatively low-scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last six away matches.
