Crystal Palace host Newcastle on Saturday afternoon, with the hosts having drawn each of their last three games in the Premier League.

CRYSTAL PALACE

Palace will still be kicking themselves after their last game. They came back from 1-0 down to lead against Arsenal away from home, only to concede in the 95th minute to let another lead slip this season.

Many have tipped Palace to be one of the sides fighting for survival at the end of the season. For Viera, a good season would be keeping them up and away from any relegation scares. As it stands they are on eight points in 14th place but can easily move up the table as it’s only early days.

Against Newcastle, Palace will be favourites as they are five points ahead of them in the table. Zaha will hopefully be back for them in this game, as he was missing with illness last time. Viera will be hoping for much of the same going forward but more concentration at the back, so that the don’t miss out on potentially three points again.

NEWCASTLE

Newcastle were beaten in their last game, at home to Spurs. They took an early lead but couldn’t hold on and ended up losing the game 3-2. This result saw the end of Steve Bruce’s time at the club and they are now looking for a new manager.

Currently, Newcastle are 19th in the table with no wins so far. The new owners will have aims of taking Newcastle towards the top of the table in the future, but need to ensure that stay up first!

We may see a response here given the change of manager and the fact they still haven’t won for eight games. Newcastle have a good enough side to win this one, but a point could be enough to move them up into 18th which isn’t a bad result!

Eze and Ferguson are out for the hosts, with Zaha a doubt.

Dummet and Dubravka will be missing for Newcastle with injury as will Shelvey due to suspension.
