The Seagulls host Man City on Saturday evening with the host just two points behind City in the Premier League table.

BRIGHTON

Brighton have started the season really well and are currently unbeaten in their last five league games. They drew 0-0 with Norwich in their last game and given their current form, this is a disappointing result against a side bottom of the table.

Last season, they finished 16th, but 13 points above the drop. This season they are currently fourth and couldn’t have imagined such a good start. Manager Graham Potter is doing a fantastic job and if they could add some more goals to their side then who knows!

This will be a tough game for Brighton, but one they will be up for. They have defended very well so far this season, conceding just six in the league. It will need to be another solid display at the back from them and their forwards will need to be clinical with the limited amount of chances they will get.

MAN CITY

City got back to winning ways in their last game at home to Burnley. It wasn’t the usual 5-0 romping we’ve been used to seeing over the years against the Clarets, but goals from Bernardo and De Bruyne were enough to get the three points.

The visitors are currently two points off of Chelsea in first place, but won’t be worried about this. Their squad depth usually gives them the advantage over the season and this was shown in the game against Burnley as they were able to make six changes and still win comfortably.

City will likely make changes again this weekend, especially after playing mid-week in the Champions League. It won’t be a walk in the park for them but they should control the game and have enough to break down the hosts. It’ll be interesting to see who plays in the number nine role this week as City still haven’t found one.
