Two of the Premier League’s in-form teams meet in the early kick-off on Saturday, as Arsenal host Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium.

ARSENAL

The Gunners could not be heading into this game in better form. Mikel Arteta’s team has won five straight games in all competitions, four of which have been in the Premier League. Their recent good results have been powered by potent attacking displays, as the north London outfit has scored at least three goals in four of their last five matches while scoring two in the other game in their undefeated run.

Arsenal have turned the Emirates Stadium into something of a fortress of late, as they are undefeated in their last eight league games while recording seven wins. The main factor in that recent good home form has been sturdy defensive displays, as they have kept clean sheets in their last four outings on home soil in the English top-flight.

MAN CITY

The Citizens have been a winning machine of late, as they head into this match on the back of a ten-game winning streak in the Premier League. A 1-0 win over Brentford last time out was closer than their previous games, but Pep Guardiola’s team once again pulled off a victory.

The win coupled with disappointing results for title rivals Chelsea and Liverpool saw City move eight points clear of the Blues and nine ahead of the Reds at the top of the Premier League table.

The reigning champions have recorded six straight away wins in the English top-flight, while scoring at least two goals in five of the victories.

Arsenal will be without head coach Arteta through illness, while Sead Kolasinac will miss out through injury. Cedric Soares, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Calum Chambers and Takehiro Tomiyasu could also miss out through illness.

Manchester City have fitness doubts over Kyle Walker, John Stones and Rodri. Ilkay Gundogan, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez are expected to return to the starting line-up after being unused substitutes against Brentford.
