The Scottish Premiership kicks off this Saturday with a huge game between rivals Aberdeen and Rangers

Aberdeen

The Dons have a tough game to kick off the 20/21 season, hosting Steven Gerrard’s Rangers. Last year, they got into the Europa League places and will be hoping to do the same this year.

Aberdeen finished fourth last year, just one point behind Motherwell. They picked up some good results last year so will be looking to start the season with one. In terms of goals scored though, Aberdeen struggled. They averaged just over one goal scored and conceded each game and we think under 2.5 goals with BoyleSport at EVS could be a good bet.

When Aberdeen and Rangers played each other last season, Rangers won once and Aberdeen held them to a draw twice. The Dons will take confidence from this and be hoping to start the season with at least a point.

Rangers

The Gers will still be annoyed that the season was properly finished even though they were 13 points behind. Gerrard’s side will be confident that they can beat Aberdeen as they clearly have the better of the two squads.

Now that they have had a season with Gerrard in charge, the Rangers players will know what is expected of them and how he wants them to play. Morelos is still at the club and he is a fantastic striker.

Beating Aberdeen 5-0 last year, Rangers know they can beat Aberdeen and beat them well. The Gers will be confident of coming away with three points.

Aberdeen have no suspensions but will be missing Michael Devlin due to injury. Rangers are the same with no suspensions, but they are missing Defoe and Katic.
