BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Friday night, Sevilla and Inter go head-to-head in Cologne in the Europa League Final, with both teams in good form.
The Andalusians are the most successful club in the history of the Europa League, having lifted the trophy on five previous occasions. Julen Lopetegui’s team are worthy finalists, as the Spanish team have seen off Roma, Wolves and Manchester United in the knockout stages. They have certainly not had an easy route to the final.
Sevilla have been difficult to beat in the Europa League of late, as they head into this final having lost just once in their last 16 games in the competition.
The Andalusian’s recent Europa League games have been low-scoring affairs, as the 2-1 win over United in the last round ended a run of six straight games that had produced under 2.5 goals.
This season has been a relatively successful one for Antonio Conte in his maiden campaign as Inter Head coach. Winning the Europa League along with finishing as Serie A runners-up would have to be considered a strong opening campaign for the former Chelsea boss.
The men from Milan have finished the campaign in a strong manner, as they are 11 games unbeaten in all competitions, having recorded eight wins in the process.
That recent good run of form includes Inter’s recent formidable form in this season’s Europa League, as Conte’s team has now recorded five straight wins in Europe’s secondary competition, scoring at least two goals in each of the victories.
Neither team has any confirmed absentees for this massive clash. That means that both Julen Lopetegui and Antonio Conte should have a full complement of players to choose from.
