ROMA

The Giallorossi are sixth-place in the Serie A table after a decent recent run of form in the Italian top-flight. Jose Mourinho’s team is in the last European qualification berth in Serie A, a point shy of their fifth-place opponents and eight points adrift of fourth-place Juventus. A challenge for a Champions League spot now looks unlikely.

Roma are unbeaten in eight league matches, but four of the unbeaten matches have finished in draws, which has hindered the Giallorossi’s top-four chances.

Mourinho’s team is now four Serie A games unbeaten on home soil, although they have also won just two of their last six home matches in the Italian top-flight.

LAZIO

The visitors have won their last two Serie A matches to move to fifth-place in the table. However, the Azzurri are just a point clear of the two teams below them Roma and Atalanta. They are also seven points adrift of fourth-place Juventus in the race for the Champions League spots.

Lazio have been difficult to beat of late in Serie A, as they have lost just one of their last eight league matches, which was against title-chasing Napoli.

Maurizio Sarri’s team also has an impressive recent defensive record, as they have kept clean sheets in six of their last eight league matches.

Roma are still without Italian international Leonardo Spinazzola through injury. Lazio are expected to be without Mattia Zaccagni through suspension, while Stefan Radu, Danilo Cataldi and Patryk Dziczek could miss out through injury.
