On Sunday night, Lazio host Napoli at the Stadio Olimpico, in what is a massive game in both the race for the Scudetto and the Champions League spots in Serie A.

After something of a rollercoaster of a campaign, the Biancocelesti are in the race for a Champions League spot.

A five-game unbeaten run in the Italian top-flight has certainly helped Maurizio Sarri’s team stay in that top-four fight. They have some catching up to do though, as they are currently four points behind fourth-place Juventus. Last time out the team from the Italian capital drew 1-1 at Udinese. 

Lazio are unbeaten in their last five home games in Serie A, while also suffering just one defeat in their previous 25 league outings at the Stadio Olimpico. 

NAPOLI

The visitors are currently third-place in the Serie A table, two points behind league leaders Milan. Luciano Spalletti’s team blew the chance to go top of the table last time out when Cagliari held them to a 1-1 draw. 

The result means that the visitors are unbeaten in their last seven outings in the Italian top-flight. However, three of those unbeaten league games have finished all square. The draw in Udine followed a low-scoring trend for Napoli in the league of late, as nine of their last ten games in Serie A have produced under 2.5 goals. 

The visitors are unbeaten in their previous six away games in Serie A, having won three and drawn three matches.

Lazio look set to be without Pedro, Ciro Immobile and Manuel Lazzari through injury and illness. Napoli are also likely to have key absences, with Kevin Malcuit, Lorenzo Insigne, Matteo Politano, Stanislav Lobotka, Andre Zambo Anguissa and Hirving Lozano all possibly missing out through injury.
