With no fans allowed in the ground, it was a lonely entrance for Cristiano Ronaldo who managed to see the funny side of it
Coronavirus has found its way into Italy and it has caused huge disruption to the Seria A. It saw a host of games called off to start and then it resorted in games being played behind closed doors.
On Sunday night, Juventus hosted Inter Milan in a huge top of the table clash. It was a six-pointer with Juve going into it six points clear of Inter. Juve went into this one as the favourites, especially with Lazio beating Inter in the Milan sides last game.
With no fans being at the game it was going to be a strange atmosphere. You could hear every kicks, tackle and shout between players. Usually, when players arrive at the ground, they are welcomed by a host of fans but none this time.
Ronaldo could be seen making a joke of the occasion by pretending to high five all the fans who weren’t there.
He won’t have to do this again for a while though, as the Seria A has been suspended by the Italian government until April 3rd.

Juve go clear in front of an empty ground
The first half was a tight affair, with both sides forcing the keepers into making good saves. Inter Milan were still in the title race at 0-0 but couldn’t afford to lose.
In the second half, Juve broke the deadlock and it was through ex-Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey. Inter Milan failed to clear the ball and Ramsey smashed it goalwards from six yards, taking a deflection and beating Handanovic.
Juventus then doubled the lead with Dybala scoring. It was a fantastic goal from the Argentine forward. He picked up the ball out wide and played a one-two with Ramsey. Once he got into the box his quick feet got him past Young and he then scored with the outside of his left foot.
The game finished 2-0 with Juventus now going nine points clear of Inter Milan. Juve are the favourites to win the league for the ninth time in the row at 4/9. Lazio are only one point behind them at 5/2. The two sides meet on April 26th should the Seria A resume.
