BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Tuesday night, RB Leipzig and PSG go head-to-head at the Estadio Da Luz in the Champions League semi-final.
The German team have been one of the dark horses in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League. Die Roten Bullen made it through to the last four of Europe’s elite competition by defeating Tottenham and Atletico Madrid in the knockout stages.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side is unbeaten in the Champions League, having recorded five wins in the process. They have been prolific in the competition of late, scoring at least two goals in six of their last seven European matches.
Even the lack of Germany international Timo Werner against Atletico did not stop Leipzig’s progression.
Thomas Tuchel’s team were awarded the Ligue One title after the French top-flight was curtailed. However, the big-spending Parisians have been longing to win the Champions League for almost a decade and this looks to be their best chance of winning Europe’s elite competition.
The French team have been impressive in the Champions League, as well as their domestic league. In fact, PSG have lost just one of their previous nine European games, having recorded seven wins in the process.
Tuchel’s team have beaten Dortmund and Atalanta in the last two rounds. The team from the French capital left it late last time out though, as they scored a 90th-minute equaliser before a stoppage-time winner from former-Stoke forward Eric Choupo-Moting set up this clash.
RB Leipzig are without centre-back Ibrahima Konate through injury, while Benjamin Henrichs and Hee-Chan Hwang are ineligible.
PSG look set to be without full-back Layvin Kurzawa through a thigh problem. Kylian Mbappe should return to the starting line-up after an impressive appearance from the bench last time out.
