PSG vs Bayern Munich

TUE 13 APR 2021 – KO 20:00

PSG vs

On Tuesday night, PSG host Bayern Munich at the Parc des Princes, with the home side currently 3-2 up and currently on their way to the semi-final.

The runners up last year put in a fantastic performance in the first leg, beating Bayern 3-2, with two goals from Kylian Mbappe. They will be disappointed with the goals they conceded, but have a huge advantage with their away goals.

PSG have never won the Champions League, same as manager Pochettino. He came runner up the year before PSG did, when Liverpool beat his Spurs side in the final. It would be fantastic for both the club and the manager to go one better this year.

PSG have shown they cant just sit back and rely on their defence. When they have players like Mbappe and Neymar, it would be stupid to do so. One goal in this game and Bayern have to score three. As it stands they are through, but we think there are many more goals to come.

The German side wasn’t expecting to be going into the second leg having conceded three goals. One of them they gifted to PSG, with Manuel Neuer making an uncharacteristic error.

Bayern are the current holders of the Champions League and were one of the favourites at the start of the competition. Their odds have dropped now, but if they make it through to the semi-finals, they will be back amongst the favourites again.

The visitors need to score at least twice to get through. They need to be at it from the start and having no Lewandowski, makes this a lot harder. It’s going to be a tough game for them as they need to commit men forward, but this will leave them exposed at the back. On top of this, Bayern also have a ridiculously long injury list!

Team News

PSG look set to be without several first-team players through injury and illness, including Diallo, Marquinhos, Kurzawa, Icardi and Bernat.

Bayern have a lot of absentees for this game. Lewandowski, Coman, Gnabry, Boateng, Roca, Hernandez, Goretzka, Sule, Hoffmann, Tolisso, Costa and Tilman make up the 12 players out.

Match Prediction

This is a tough one to judge, but we see it ending a draw, with Bayern not quite having enough to make it through.

Odds 3/1
