The Citizens are currently nine points clear at the top of the Premier League, although second-place Liverpool do have a game in hand on Pep Guardiola’s team.

The reigning Premier League champions are unbeaten in 15 league matches, having recorded a highly creditable 14 victories in the process. Last time out in the English top-flight, City recorded a 4-0 win at relegation-threatened Norwich, with Raheem Sterling grabbing a hat-trick.

Manchester City have won their last seven home matches in the Premier League, having also kept nine clean sheets in their previous 13 league matches at the Etihad Stadium.

Tottenham

Antonio Conte’s team could not be heading to the Etihad Stadium at a worse time. The team from north London have suffered three straight defeats in the Premier League, including a 2-0 home defeat against Wolves last time out. The game saw Spurs concede at least two goals for the third straight league match. The recent poor run of league form has seen the visitors slip five points behind fourth-place West Ham, although they do have three games in hand on the Hammers.

Tottenham have an inconsistent recent away record in the Premier League. However, a record of three wins in their last nine league matches on their travels is not a great one.
