Last time out Jurgen Klopp’s team recorded a 3-1 win over Championship Cardiff to book their place in the FA Cup fourth round. However, challenging for the Premier League title is arguably still the Reds priority this season.

The men from Merseyside are currently second place in the English top-flight table, nine points adrift of leaders and reigning champions Manchester City, with a game in hand on the Citizens.

Liverpool looks to have now got their league campaign back on track after an unconvincing period, as Klopp’s team have recorded back-to-back league wins over Brentford and Crystal Palace. They scored three goals in each of the wins.

LEICESTER

The Foxes head into this game on the back of an awful 4-1 defeat at Championship Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup. The defeat means that Brendan Rodgers’ team has now failed to win in three matches in all competitions.

The visitors recent league form has not been great, as they have won just one of their previous four matches in the Premier League. Ironically, it was the reverse fixture, as the men from the Midlands recorded a 1-0 win over the Reds at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester have struggled for wins on their travels in the English top-flight of late, winning just once in their last seven away matches, while failing to win in their last four league games away from home.

Liverpool have no reported injuries. According to Jurgen Klopp, star forward pair Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah could be available after their African Cup of nations exploits. Whether either start remains to be seen. New signing Luis Diaz could make his Premier League debut.

Leicester have major defensive problems, with Ryan Bertrand, Jonny Evans, Wesley Fofana and Timothy Castagne all ruled out through injury. Former England forward Jamie Vardy is also expected to miss out.
