In the Premier League early kick-off on Saturday, Everton hosts Manchester United at Goodison Park, in a massive Premier League game for both teams for very different reasons.

EVERTON

The Toffees are in deep trouble after a disastrous 3-2 defeat at relegation rivals Burnley last time out. The defeat leaves Frank Lampard’s team just a point clear of the Clarets, who are currently in the last relegation spot.

The defeat continued a poor run of form league form for Everton, as they have now won just two of their last 14 games in the Premier League. The Toffees have also lost ten of their last 12 games in the English top-flight. A record of just three wins in their last 11 league matches at Goodison Park is one of the biggest factors in their lowly position in the league table.

MAN UTD

While the hosts are fighting for their lives, Manchester United are in need of the points in the fight for the Champions League spots. Ralf Rangnick’s team are now three points behind fourth-place Tottenham, in what is becoming a tight race for the fourth Champions League spot.

A recent underwhelming run of league form has hindered the visitor’s hopes of sealing a top-four spot, as United have won just once in their last four league games.

The Red Devils recent away form has also been inconsistent in the English top-flight. However, a 4-1 hammering at arch-rivals Manchester City in their last away game in the league ended a seven-match unbeaten run on their travels in the Premier League.

Everton vs Man Utd Team News

Everton are expected to be without the injured Tom Davies, Yerry Mina and Andros Townsend through injury, while United loanee Donny van de Beek is ineligible to play against his parent club. Michael Keane and Allan will return to the Toffees squad after serving suspensions.

United will once again be without Edinson Cavani due to injury, while Luke Shaw and Cristiano Ronaldo are fitness doubts.
