Postponement Of Euros To Force Pogba To Stay?

Over 5.5 Goals - Premier League

With this summers Euro’s being postponed until 2021, could this force World Cup winner Paul Pogba to stay at Old Trafford for another season?

Not a day goes by in the footballing world where Paul Pogba’s name isn’t mentioned. The French midfield has been in the headlines since his youth days at Man United. After seemingly seeing no future at the club, he opted for a new start in Turin at Juventus.

He left Man United for free and this hit the ground running in Italy. Pogba took to his new club well, playing alongside Pirlo and Marchisio in a midfield three. Meanwhile back at United things weren’t going well and they needed a big-money signing to come in with new manager Jose Mourinho.

They worked hard on a deal and brought Pogba back to the club for a staggering £89 million. Since then though there has been issues with Pogba at United, which has lead to constant speculation of a move.

His agent, Mina Raiola, hasn’t made it any secret that Pogba has explored the option of leaving Old Trafford once again. However, with the Euros being cancelled this year and move to next year, could this stop the sale of him?

Bearing in mind that United spent a lot of money on him and since then he has won the World Cup, they would be looking to make a profit on him! Pogba hasn’t featured much this season due to injuries. He has played just eight games this season and scored twice.

This hasn’t showcased the best Paul Pogba we know, and the Euros may have been his chance to do just that. Clubs may be hesitant to splash out this summer having not seen Paul Pogba play that well all season.

Where Could Pogba Go?

The club who are favourites to land him are the ones who have been linked with them for the past few windows, Real Madrid. They are probably one of the only clubs who could afford Pogba! Like Man United, Real are going through a tough spell. They need to spend money a Pogba could be the man to come in a bring them back to their best.

On top of this, Zidane is in charge of Real. He is a big fan of Pogba and the fact they are both French could entice him to join. Madrid are currently priced at 7/4 so this could still happen. Madrid only issue could be they can’t afford to waste time and with Pogba not having the best of season, is he the right man?

A return to Juventus is priced at 4/1 with Paddy Power. Pogba played his best football here so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him in black and white. If he went back to Juventus it would cost them a lot. United aren’t going to let them have two good deals on the French midfielder.

One team who could definitely afford Pogba is PSG. This could be a great bet at 5/1. A move to France could be a good one for Pogba. He would be back in his home country after many years away. PSG have many good players as well and will most probably add more soon. Finally, Pogba’s agent loves a big-money move and with PSG, that would happen!

Paddy Power also have odds on other clubs that Pogba could potentially end up at. On top of this, they have a whole host of odds on some of the worlds top players to make a move, such as Coutinho!
