PFA Player Of The Season Odds
The Premier League gets underway this Friday and we have the odds for the PFA Player Of The Season
The PFA Player Of The Season award is a very highly thought of award amongst Premier League footballers. It is voted by the footballers and they chose who they think was the best player of that season.
The winner of the 20/21 PFA Player Of The Year was Kevin De Bruyne. This was the second time he had won this award, which came as a surprise to many him winning it this year. There have only ever been five players to win the award two years in a row, the most recent of which now being De Bruyne.
We have the latest odds from Betfair and we’ll look to see is in with a chance according to the bookmakers!
PFA PLAYER OF THE YEAR 21/22 Odds
Mo Salah (7 goals, 4 assists) – 7/4
When Liverpool are at their best, Salah is unstoppable. With Liverpool having all their best players back from injury now, we should be seeing Salah challenging for the Golden Boot once again.
On his day he is a fantastic player and has shown once he gets on a goal-scoring run, he can keep going and going. He has started this season very well and is the joint top scorer in the league. When he is at his best, there aren’t much better.
Cristiano Ronaldo (3 goals, 0 assists) – 6/1
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has rejoined Man United after looking like he would be going to Man City. This is a very exciting signing not just for United but for the Premier League as a whole. Ronaldo scored 29 goals last season in the Serie A, beating Chelsea’s new striker Romelu Lukaku by five. If he could get the same amount or even more this season, he would be right up there.
Ronaldo has won the PFA Player of The Year award twice, in 2007 and 2008. Even though he is 36 years of age, he still has what it takes to be one of the best in the Premier League and win this award for the third time.
Kevin De Bruyne (2 goals, 0 assists) – 7/1
The winner for the last two seasons was always going to be favourite again this year. On his day he is the best player in the league and if he can stay fit for the whole season, it could be his to lose. Last season he registered six goals and 12 assists, in just 25 games. This wasn’t the highest return in the league, which shows it’s not all about stats.
At 6/1 it’s a good price that will only drop should De Bruyne get off to a good start. If his side keeps bringing in more big-name players, it’s only going to help De Bruyne win his third PFA Player Of The Year.
Bruno Fernandes (4 goals, 2 assists) – 9/1
Since joining Man United, Bruno has been their best player by a long way. He finished with 30 goals and assist in the league last season and is involved in everything his side does. One thing that does let Bruno down is his involvement in the big games. He has a tendency to not show up for these games and will need to win this award.
United have made some good signings this summer in Sancho and Ronaldo, both of which will help Bruno. His side should see more of the ball which will only mean more chances for him to score or create. He started the season in the best way possible with a hattrick on the opening day.
Jack Grealish (1 goal, 1 assist) – 16/1
Grealish recently joined Man City for a record fee of £100 million. He has had two fantastic years at Aston Villa and is now ready to make the jump to one of the worlds best teams. With Pep, there is usually a doubt in terms of playing time but considering he cost so much, we expect him to play a lot.
At Villa, he stood out as one of the best players in the league and now at City he could be even better. Grealish is a very good player and one that can harm any side. He likes the big occasion and if he can stand out in the game against the top six, he could challenge De Bruyne.
