Milner Shown Red by PE Teacher
James Milner has been around in the Premiership for donkey’s years now playing for the likes of Aston Villa, Man City and his current side, Liverpool. He is one of the most consistent players in the division and has played a large role in Liverpool’s transformation in the past two seasons.
Something you may not have known about Milner is that when he was a schoolboy, he was trained by PL referee, Jon Moss. At this time, Moss was working as a local PE teacher and since then the pair has risen to the highest rankings they could in their line of work. What makes this story even better is that when Liverpool took on Crystal Palace in a seven-goal thriller, Jon Moss was officiating the match at Anfield.
Goals were flying in at either hand and the tension was seeping from some players in particular. Milner picked up a yellow card and shortly after recklessly dove into a challenge. Moss had no choice but to show his former student a red card as James walked with his head down. This happened once in PE too apparently.
