Last night the final games of the Round Of 16 were played in the Europa League and we now know who the final eight teams are!

The Europa League this year has some real quality teams left in it. There were no big surprises in the Round Of 16, with all the favourites pretty much making it through.

The next round of the competition starts on Monday, with Man United and Inter Milan both in action. These games are taking place in Germany in a World Cup style tournament, with each game being one leg.

Man United are the current stand out favourites to win The Europa Leauge. They are priced at 15/8 with Betfair. Solskjaers side though already have Champions League qualification for next season sorted. Could this mean they don’t take the competition as seriously as they would have had they not finished third?

We will go through each of the quarter-finals now and who we think will win!

Inter Milan vs Bayer Leverkusen (10/08, 20:00pm)

The Italian side progressed through to this round after beating Getafe 2-0 in a one-leg Round Of 16 game. They are the second-favourites to win the Europa League at 11/4. Bayer got here by beating Rangers 4-1 over two legs. Betfair have Bayer priced at 13/2.

Inter have the far better squad out of the two sides and we think they will progress. That being said, a German team in knockout football should never be underestimated. We see Inter beating Bayer in a close game with both sides scoring. Conte’s side to win is at 23/20.

Man United vs FC Copenhagen (10/08, 20:00pm)

Solskjaers side were in this round well before the second leg. They were 5-0 up after the first leg against LASK and it finished 7-1 on aggregate. Copenhagen did well to get here, they beat Instanbul Basaksehir 3-1 on aggregate.

United are 1/4 to win this game and we don’t see it going any other way. Their manager expressed how much they want to win a trophy and the importance of this competition. They will have their first team bac after resting them against LASK and shouldn’t have any issue in getting through this round. A Copenhagen upset is priced at 10/1!

Shakhtar vs FC Basel (11/08, 20:00pm)

The Ukrainian side progressed to this round beating Wolfsburg in dramatic style. They were 0-0 (2-1) on the 89th minute and then scored three times to get through as 5-1 winners. Basels second leg as a bit more straight forward. They were 3-0 up on aggregate to Eintracht Frankfurt, with the three goals coming away from home. Basel won 1-0 in the second leg.

We think this will be a very tight game. Shakhtar have shown then can turn it on and score a flurry of goals quickly. Basel, on the other hand, are a tough side to breakdown. We see the 16/1 Europa League winners Shakhtar getting through in a tight game, maybe one that requires extra time!

Wolves vs Sevilla (11/08, 20:00pm)

The most exciting game of this fixture is this one. Wolves beat a good Olympiakos side 2-1 over two legs to get through. Sevilla had to beat Roma and that they did, beating them 2-0 in a one-leg game.

The Spanish side have so much experience in this competition, having won three finals in a row from 2014-2016. They are 11/2 to win the competition again with Wolves at 7/1. Both sides are very good and we have a feeling the underdogs in the fixture, Wolves, will get into the next round at 23/10!
