Slaven Bilic became the first manager in the Premier League to lose his job this season with West Brom sacking him after drawing against Manchester City!

After 95 days of the 2020/21 Premier League season, we finally had our first managerial sacking. Today West Brom made the decision to part ways with Slaven Bilic after 18 months in charge of the club. The Croatian had seven months left on his contract at The Hawthorns.

West Brom had a tough start to life back in the Premier League. They had won just one game in 13 and have seven points for the season. This poor run of form saw them sit 19th in the Premier League, two points from safety.

It came as a surprise to the sacking of Bilic. West Brom drew with Man City last night which is a result no one expected. Now, this could have been a turning point for his side and given them some confidence that they deserve to be in this league.

It looks as if West Brom have wasted no time in finding their new manager as well. Sam Allardyce is 1/12 to become the next manager at the club and he comes with a reel king mega of Premier League experience.

He has managed seven clubs in the top flight and has kept a lot of them up when it looked like they were destined for relegation. West Brom are the joint-favourites to go down at 2/9 and the new manager, whoever that is, will be hoping to turn this around!

Next Manager To Get The Sack

Bilic wasn’t the favourite to lose his job next and that’s one of the reasons why it came as such a surprise with him being sacked.

Arteta looks like he will now be the next to go at around 7/4. His Arsenal side have been heavily underperforming of late and have won just once in the league in the last six games.

Arsenal have a few tough games coming up and some more poor performances could definitely spell the end for Arteta. He really needs his big players to start setting up if he wants to keep his job!

Just behind Arteta at around 9/4 is Chris Wilder. His side are rock bottom of the Premier League at the minute and don’t have a win in 13 games this season. However, he did guide them to the Premier League two years ago and had a fantastic debut season.

This could be why the club are still keeping faith with the manager who is actually a boyhood Sheffield United fan!
