Bayern Munich last night beat struggling Werder Bremen to win their eighth Bundesliga title in a row!
When the Bundesliga resumed, it was more of a when not if they would win the league. When the league resumed, Bayern were four points clear of challengers Dortmund. However, the two sides met and Bayern came out on top making the gap between the two sizes too big for Dortmund to catch.
Hansi Flick’s side have been in great form since the restart. They have won all seven matches, scoring 18 goals and conceding just five. Going into last nights game against Werder Bremen, many were seeing this as a comfortable win to confirm them as champions.
Bremen though made it just the opposite. The side who are currently one place above bottom was 1-0 at half time but sat back in the second half waiting for an opportunity. This came in the form of Alfonso Davies getting sent off. Bremen then threw everything at Bayern and for the last 15 minutes, they were on top. Thankfully Bayern’s captain Neuer was on top form and kept his side in the lead with some very important saves.
The win gave Bayern their eighth title in a row with two games to go. This was also a special night for Flick. In winning the title, he became the third person to do it as a player and a manager at Bayern.

Other Markets
With there only two/three games left for certain teams, the race for top four is nearly done. RB Leipzig and Dortmund are well clear of dropping out, with one more win for both teams enough. This leaves Monchengladbach and Leverkusen fighting it out for the final place.
Gladbach are the favourites at 4/6. They are currently in fourth place with 59 points. Their two remaining fixtures are against already relegated Paderborn and then 11th placed Hertha Berlin. Gladbach have already beaten Paderborn this season and then drew with Hertha. They are playing them at home and will be confident of getting the three points against them.
Leverkusen at priced at 11/10 and are two points behind Gladbach, but with a game in hand. It is in Leverkusen’s hand, if they win all three then they will finish in fourth place. They have to play FC Koln, Hertha Berlin and Mainz. All of these teams are in the bottom half of the table and Leverkusen would be favourites for each of them, its just whether they can win all three. Koln and Hertha have beaten Leverkusen this season.
Another market still going is to be relegated. Currently, Paderborn are down, and one more side can join them. Werder Bremen are on 28 points and priced at 4/9 to go down. They have two games remaining against Mainz and Koln. The one against Mainz is huge as they are only three points ahead and could join go down themselves. Mainz have an outside chance at 4/1.
On level points but one less game than Bremen is Dusseldorf who are at 8/15. They have RB Leipzig, Augsburg and Union Berlin. They have lost two Augsburg and Leipzig already this season, so they will be tough games.
