Will Bayern Be Better Placed Next Season to Compete for the Champions League?
Although Bayern Munich crashed out of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals after losing 4-1 on aggregate to Manchester City on April 19th, they have almost certainly won the Bundesliga and will be looking to go even further in the Champions League next year.
The question being asked here is, will they be better placed next year, and will they get past the quarter-finals in next year’s tournament? Find out more right here.
Will Bayern Be Better Placed In The Champions League Next Season?
It looks as though Bayern Munich will be much better placed for next year’s Champions League tournament. They have just about won the Bundesliga and will be looking to strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window.
They will need to invest in more strikers and attacking midfielders, and some of the names that have been linked to a potential move to Bayern over the coming months are the following players:
- Harry Kane – Tottenham Hotspur (€100 million)
- Victor Osimhen – Napoli (€70 million)
- Gavi – Barcelona (€80 million)
- Mason Mount – Chelsea (€60 million)
- Ilkay Gundogan – Manchester City (€50 million)
- Randal Kolo Muani – Frankfurt (€100 million)
- Ansu Fat – Barcelona – Barcelona (€90 million)
- Kaoru Mitoma – Brighton (€45 million)
- Marcus Rashford – Manchester United (€120 million)
Although it’s just speculation, there’s a good chance, if the price is right, that Bayern could get one of these players.
Other names that have also been linked to a possible move to the Bundesliga giants are Neymar, Heung-min Son, Joao Cancelo, Giorgio Scalvini, Cade Cowell, and Hakim Ziyech.
Kai Havertz, Mateo Kovacic, Wilfried Zaha, and Folarin Balogun have also been linked to a move.

Is It Worth Betting On Bayern Munich To Win The League?
The odds of Bayern Munich to win the Bundesliga outright have been dramatically slashed in recent weeks, so perhaps it’s better to leave this bet alone unless you’re willing to stake huge amounts of money.
For example, they are currently priced, on average, at around 2/15 in the UK fractional odds format. They are the odds-on favourite to win the league, with an 88.20% implied probability rate.
2/15 in the standard European decimal odds format is 1.13. In American/moneyline odds, it’s -750. In other words, if you put a $/€/£100 (or equivalent currency value) wager right now on Bayern to win the league with these odds, you would be looking at a total return of just $/€/£113.33.
This would include your initial $/€/£100.00 stake returned, and only a $/€/£13.33 profit.
Is There A Chance That Borussia Dortmund Can Snatch The Title From Bayern?
Anything can happen in football. Bayern and Dortmund both have 6 games to go before the end of the season. League leaders Bayern have 59 points and second place Dortmund have 57 points, so it’s possible.
If you look at the odds, you will see that Dortmund are currently priced at 5/1 (6.00 or 500), with only a 16.70% implied probability of winning.
Therefore, if you bet $/€/£100 on them right now to win the league, and they go on to win, you would be looking at a total return of $/€/£600.00 (including $/€/£100 stake returned + $/€/£500 profit).
A Dortmund fan would definitely go for a bet with these odds. Dortmund could easily leapfrog Bayern and snatch the title from Bayern and stop them from getting their 11th consecutive league title.
However, don’t forget that no bet is guaranteed.
