Newcastle United vs Spurs

Newcastle United vs

Newcastle and Spurs go head to head this weekend, with pressure on the home manager after their recent takeover.

Steve Bruce’s team went back to losing ways at the weekend with their game against Wolves. The game finished 2-1, with Newcastle missing numerous big chances to get an equaliser.

Newcastle have recently been sold to new owners, after 14 years with Mike Ashley in charge. Many think this will be the end of Steve Bruce’s time at the club and if they lose on Sunday, it most probably will be.

St James’ will be rocking on Sunday off the back of this good news. At Wolves, they created a lot of good chances and if they can do the same again, they will have a chance of getting something from this game. Newcastle are yet to win this season, so a point against a big side is still a good result.

Nuno’s side got back to winning ways in their last game. They beat Crystal Palace 2-1 which was a big result, as it stopped it from being four consecutive league games without a win!

This season so far has been an inconsistent one for Spurs. They won their first three then lost their next three. If Nuno wants to succeed at his new club he needs to get a run of results together and more importantly get Harry Kane back in form!

Winning at Newcastle is always tough. Spurs have the better squad and will be favourites on Sunday, but it won’t be easy. Nuno seems to have now found his preferred starting eleven and needs them to perform with pressure building on him already.

Team News

Dubravka is out for this one, Wilson, Dummett, Willock, Woodman and Lascelles are all doubts and will be late decisions.

Bergwijn and Sessegnon are still out. Davies is a doubt for Spurs.

Match Prediction

This is going to be a close game Sunday but we are backing Spurs to get the win and put the pressure back on Steve Bruce.
