Monchengladbach vs Bayer Leverkusen

BETTING & MATCH PREDICTION
On Saturday afternoon, Monchengladbach host Bayer Leverkusen at Borussia Park, with both teams hoping to secure maximum points in the fight for the European spots in the Bundesliga.
This season’s Bundesliga campaign has been a poor one by recent season’s standards for the Foals. Marco Rose’s team currently sit ninth-place in the table, four points short of the visitors who occupy the last European spot in the German top-flight.
Gladbach’s recent form has been the cause of their drop down the table, as a 3-2 defeat at title-chasing RB Leipzig last time out means that the home side has failed to win in five matches in the Bundesliga.
Even their usually sound home form has dipped, as they have suffered two straight defeats at Borussia Park in the Bundesliga against Koln and Mainz.
Peter Bosz’s side topped the Bundesliga table for a short period earlier in the season. However, a poor recent run of form consisting of just two wins in their last 11 matches in the Bundesliga has seen the visitors slip to sixth-place, five points adrift of the Champions League spots. It may not be a coincidence that Bayer have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 11 matches in the Bundesliga.
Bayer’s recent away form has been poor, as they have failed to win in four league matches on their travels while suffering three defeats in the process. For a team with such attacking talent, just one goal in three away matches in the Bundesliga is also a scant return.
Monchengladbach look set to be without Stefan Lainer, Famana Quizera, Mamadou Doucoure and Torben Musel due to various injuries.
Bayer Leverkusen have a fair few players on their injury list, as Paulinho, Santiago Arias, Julian Baumgartlinger, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Lars Bender and Lukas Hradecky could all miss out due to injury.
