BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Saturday afternoon, two of the teams competing for the four Champions League spots in the Bundesliga meet at Borussia Park, as Monchengladbach host Bayer Leverkusen
A 3-1 victory at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday moved the Foals above RB Leipzig and into third-place in the table. However, they remain six points off leader Bayern Munich and are still just three points clear of the fifth-place visitors.
The win last time out means that Marco Rose’s team has recorded wins in three of their last four matches, while also winning five of their last eight league outings.
The Foals have a reputation for being strong on home soil, having recorded eight wins from their last ten home matches in the Bundesliga, while suffering just one defeat in the process.
Monchengladbach have a good recent record against Bayer Leverkusen, having won three of the last four meetings between the two teams.
The visitors have been one of the form teams of late in the Bundesliga. A 4-1 win at relegation-threatened Werder Bremen last time out was Bayer’s eighth league win in ten matches.
The result also saw Peter Bosz’s team stretch their unbeaten run in the Bundesliga to six games. The win also moved them to just one point behind RB Leipzig, who occupy the final Champions League qualification spot in the Bundesliga.
As the home team, Bayer have been highly potent in attack in the Bundesliga of late, scoring at least two goals in seven of their last nine matches in the German top-flight.
Monchengladbach look set to be without winger Fabian Johnson and central midfielder Denis Zakaria due to injury. Bayer have no reported injury problems and could name the same starting line-up as the one that hammered Werder Bremen.
