Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

Liverpool vs

Sunday’s game against Crystal Palace is a huge one for Liverpool, with a win getting them into the Champions League for next season.

The hosts go into this game in fantastic form, with four wins in their last four games. They beat Burnley 3-0 in their last game to put clear daylight between them and Leicester in goal difference.

Liverpool are currently in fourth place in the Premier League, but only on goal difference. A win on Sunday should keep them into the top four but a loss or a draw will put it into Leicester’s hands.

A repeat of the last of the time these two met, would be fantastic for Liverpool. They won 7-0 at Selhurst Park, but we doubt this will happen again. They seem to have sorted their defence out allowing Thiago and Fabinho to play together in midfield which is giving them real control in games.

With just two wins in their last six games, Palace aren’t in the best of form. Arsenal beat them 3-1 midweek, with Benteke getting the only goal but making it four in four for him.

Palace are 13th in the table, but a win could take them to 12th. This is manager Roy Hodgsons last game in charge and he would love to sign off with a win, especially against his side.

Against Liverpool, it’s always a tough game, especially when they are in need of a win. The injury to Eze is a huge blow for Palace as he has been in great form of late. Getting the ball to the inform Benteke is going to be key and the best way to cause an upset here.

Team News

The Reds remain without Virgil van Dijk, Divock Origi, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez, Diogo Jota, Ozan Kabak and Jordan Henderson. Naby Kieta is a doubt.

Southampton are without Ings, Bertrand, Minamino, Romeu and Smallbone. Obafemi is a doubt.

Match Prediction

This game is vital for Liverpool and we see them having too much for Crystal Palace over the 90 minutes.
