BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Sunday night, the top two teams in Ligue One, Lille and PSG go head-to-head at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, in what could prove to be a pivotal game in the race for the top-flight title.
The home team have enjoyed an excellent start to the Ligue One campaign, as LOSC are currently top of the table, a point clear of Sunday’s opponents in second.
A win here could prove to be a massive one for Christophe Gaultier’s team.
Lille head into this clash unbeaten in five Ligue One matches, having recorded four wins in the process.
The home side has also been potent in front of goal late, scoring at least two goals in five of their last six league matches.
LOSC are unbeaten in nine home games in Ligue One, having not suffered a home league defeat since February.
The French champions may well face a challenge for the title this season from both Lille and also Lyon who trail the Parisians by just a point.
Thomas Tuchel’s team have been highly inconsistent of late in the French top-flight, winning just two of their last five matches in Ligue One.
Last time out the visitors recorded a 2-0 win over Lorient. However, their opponents played most of the second half with ten men.
One positive for PSG in recent weeks and months has been their away form, as the reigning champions have won five of their last six league games on their travels.
Tuchel’s team has also scored at least two goals in their last six away matches in Ligue One.
Lille could be without Portuguese international Renato Sanches through injury. PSG look set to be without star forward Neymar, forward Pablo Sarabia and full-back Juan Bernat all due to injury.
