Leicester City vs Wolves
SAT 14 AUG 2021 – KO 15:00
BETTING & MATCH PREDICTION
On Friday night, Leicester take on Newcastle in the Premier League, with the hosts looking to keep themselves in third place.
It was a disappointing end to the season once again for Leicester, as they missed out on the top four on the final day. They took four points from Wolves last season, beating them at home 1-0, and would love to start the season in the same way.
After coming up short twice on the final day, Leicester’s only aim this season can be to try and finally go one better and get into the top four. They have the squad and manager to do it but need to start picking up more points against the sides from lower down the table.
Leicester have made two exciting signings in Daka and Soumare. They will be looking to bring in a couple more before the window shuts. Against Wolves, it’ll be tough as they have a new manager so don’t really know how they’ll play or set up. If Leicester play their game as they can, they will expect to win the game.
It was a disappointing season for Wolves last year who finished 13th. They struggled with a lot of injuries and in the end, their manager Nuno Espirito Santo left. Their new manager Bruno Lage will just be desperate to not start the season off with a defeat.
For Wolves, a realistic target for the 21/22 season will be getting back into the top ten. They have managed to keep hold of their key players so far like Neves, Jiminez, Traore, and Coady, all of which will be key to them improving on last season.
Whilst at Benfica, Lage set up in a 352 or a 442. We see him going with a 352 at the start of this season to try and keep it a steady start. Wolves can get at Leicester but it all depends on how the new manager gets on with implementing his style of play.
