BETTING & MATCH PREDICTION
In the Premier League’s early kick-off on Saturday, Leicester host league leaders Chelsea at the King Power Stadium, as the visitors look to maintain their position at top of the table.
The Foxes have endured a frustrating lack of consistency this season. Brendan Rodgers team is currently 12th place in the table after taking 15 points from their opening 11 outings in the Premier League.
A record of two wins from their previous eight matches in the English top-flight illustrates that the team from the Midlands have not been in great form of late in the Premier League. Before the international break, the Foxes drew 1-1 with Leeds at Elland Road. The draw means that they have taken just a point from their last two league matches.
Rodgers team has won just one of their previous four home matches in the English top-flight, while also winning just two of their last seven league matches at the King Power Stadium.
Thomas Tuchel’s team are three points clear of second-place reigning champions Manchester City, despite drawing 1-1 with Burnley at Stamford Bridge in their last match before the international break. The draw ended a run of four straight league wins for the Blues in the English top-flight. It extended their unbeaten run in the Premier League to five matches.
Chelsea are unbeaten in five away matches in the English top-flight, having recorded four wins in the process. The team from south west London have been difficult to beat on their travels, as they have lost just one of their previous 14 away games in the Premier League.
Leicester look set to once again be without defensive duo Wesley Fofana and James Justin, while Marc Albrighton, Youri Tielemans and Harvey Barnes are also fitness doubts.
Chelsea do not have any definite absences. However, Marcos Alonso, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku are all fitness doubts heading into this clash in the Midlands.
Leicester have been poor on home soil of late, especially defensively. We are backing Chelsea to record a relatively narrow victory to maintain top spot in the table.
