BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Wednesday evening, Juventus face a big test as the Bianconeri host Atalanta at the Allianz Stadium, as the reigning champions look to make up further ground on leaders Milan at the top of the Serie A table.
Andrea Pirlo’s team head into this clash in good spirits after a 3-1 win at Genoa. The victory means that the Bianconeri are still unbeaten in all 11 of their matches in the Italian top-flight this season. The team from Turin are currently four points adrift of league leaders Milan in the fight for the Scudetto.
The home side has rediscovered their shooting boots of late, scoring at least two goals in three of their last four matches in Serie A. Star forward Cristiano Ronaldo has scored seven goals in his last six league appearances for the Bianconeri.
Juventus are unbeaten in their five home matches this season in the Italian top-flight, having recorded four wins in the process. They have also scored at least two goals in all four recent home victories.
The Nerazzurri are experiencing an unusually poor campaign by recent seasons standards. Gian Piero Gasperini’s team are eighth-place in the Serie A table, five points behind their fourth-place rivals.
Just one win in their last four league matches has hampered their chances of moving back into the league’s Champions League spots. A 3-0 home win over Fiorentina last time out ended a three-game winless run for La Dea in Serie A.
Atalanta have been difficult to beat on their travels in the Italian top-flight, as they have lost one of their last 15 league matches on the road.
Juventus are once again expected to be without centre-back duo Giorgio Chiellini and Merih Demiral through injury.
Atalanta will be missing midfielder Mario Pasalic and defender Mattia Caldara.
