BETTING & MATCH PREDICTION
On Wednesday evening, Juventus host Napoli at the Allianz Stadium, in a game that could be pivotal in who makes the Serie A top-four spots and takes a Champions League place for next season.
Things have not quite gone to plan for Andrea Pirlo as Juventus head coach. The Bianconeri currently sit fourth-place in the table, 12 points behind league leaders Inter.
However, it’s not the title that the team Turin are worried about at the moment, as their perennial spot in the Champions League now looks under threat for next season. Wednesday night’s opponents are level on points with the home team, while sixth-place Lazio are also just four points adrift of the reigning champions.
The fact that Juventus have taken just a point from their last two league games against Benevento and Torino has not helped their cause. The poor results have allowed the visitors to make up some ground on the champions.
Gennaro Gattuso’s team are unbeaten in six Serie A matches, having recorded five wins. The victories have been made possible partly due to their performances in front of goal by their prolific attack, as the visitors have scored two or more goals in six of their last seven league outings.
Another factor in their recent good results has been an improvement in away form, as the Azzurri are now three unbeaten on their travels in Serie A, having recorded wins in their last two matches.
Their recent goalscoring form has stretched to their away games, as they have scored at least two goals in five of their previous eight matches on their travels in the Italian top-flight.
Juventus have some big probable absentees for this clash, with Giorgio Chiellini, Merih Demiral, Leonardo Bonucci and Paulo Dybala all likely to miss out due to injury and illness.
Napoli look set to be without Diego Demme, Faouzi Ghoulam and David Ospina through various injuries.
