BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Thursday night, there is a massive Championship play-off clash, as Fulham host Cardiff in the second leg semi-final at Craven Cottage. The home side has one foot in the play-off final courtesy of a 2-0 win in the first-leg.
The Cottagers finished the season just two points outside the automatic promotion spots. However, they shook off the disappointment of not going up automatically to claim a vital 2-0 win in the Welsh capital last time out.
The result continued the Cottagers strong end to the campaign, as they are unbeaten in eight league outings, having recorded an impressive eight wins. Although Fulham have been in good form of late in the Championship, their recent matches have been tight, low-scoring affairs, with under 2.5 goals scored in six of their previous seven games.
The Cottagers recent home form has been a big contributing factor to their strong finish to the season, as the team from the capital have recorded wins in five of their last six league outings at Craven Cottage.
The first-leg defeat was a big blow to Neil Harris’ team, who had gone into the clash on the back of a three-game winning run in the second tier. The Bluebirds scoring touch went missing at a crucial time, as before the first leg defeat Cardiff had scored at least two goals in their three previous league outings.
The visitors will believe that they can turn this tie around, as they have won four of their previous five away matches in the Championship.
Fulham will be without Fabri, who is both injured and ineligible to feature. Andre Zambo Anguissa is also ineligible. Dutch defender Terence Kongolo is also set to miss out through injury. Cardiff have no reported absentees.
