Frankfurt vs Bayern Munich

SAT 20 FEB 2021 – KO 2:30

Frankfurt vs

On Saturday afternoon, Eintracht Frankfurt host Bayern Munich at the Deutsche Bank Park, as the reigning champions look to maintain their lead at the top of the Bundesliga.

The Eagles just keep winning and strengthening their position in the race for the Champions League spots in the Bundesliga. A 2-0 home win over Koln last time out was their fourth straight league victory. The victory kept Frankfurt three points clear of fifth-place Bayer Leverkusen, in what is developing into a highly intriguing battle for top-four spots.

Adi Hutter’s team has been deadly in front of goal in recent weeks, scoring at least two goals in their last six Bundesliga matches. Star striker Andre Silva has now scored in his last four league appearances, taking his goal tally in the German top-flight to 18 goals this season.

Frankfurt will be hoping to put right their recent record against Bayern, as they have lost six of their last seven meetings with the Bavarian giants.

It is no major surprise that Bayern Munich are top of the German top-flight table. However, what was a surprise was the fact that Arminia Bielefeld held Hansi Flick’s team to a 3-3 draw after the strugglers took a two-goal lead.

The draw ended a five-game winning run for the reigning champions in the Bundesliga. The game saw Bayern continue their prolific scoring run in the German top-flight, as they have now scored at least two goals in eight of their last ten league outings.

Unsurprisingly, the visitors have a good recent away record in the Bundesliga, winning four of their last five matches on their travels.

Team News

Eintracht Frankfurt will be without Djibril Sow through suspension, while Ragnar Ache and Felix Irorere look set to miss out through fitness doubts.

Bayern are without Thomas Muller through illness, while Alexander Nubel, Douglas Costa and Serge Gnabry could be out due to injury.

Match Prediction

This is a difficult game for Bayern Munich and we are predicting a high-scoring draw, which could dent the champions’ hopes of retaining their German crown.
