BETTING & MATCH PREDICTION
On Saturday afternoon, two of the surprise packages of this seasons Bundesliga go head-to-head, as Eintracht Frankfurt host Wolfsburg at the Deutsche Bank Park.
Adi Hutter’s team have been one of the most exciting teams to watch in the Bundesliga this season, as only league leaders and reigning champions Bayern Munich can better Frankfurt’s goal tally off 55 goals in the Bundesliga this season.
Portuguese striker Andre Silva has been a key contributor to Frankfurt attacking efforts this season, scoring 22 goals in 25 league appearances.
Frankfurt’s potent attack has fired them into the Bundesliga’s top-four and they are now seven points clear of fifth-place Dortmund, who they defeated 2-1 in their last league outing.
The Eagles home form has also been important this season, as they are unbeaten in 15 Bundesliga games on home soil, recording six wins in their last seven home matches in the German top-flight.
While Frankfurt are enjoying a stellar Bundesliga campaign, Wolfsburg have outperformed the high-flying Eagles. Olivier Glasner’s team are third-place in the table, four points clear of their hosts and just three points behind second-place RB Leipzig. The Wolves have aided their Champions League hopes with five wins in their last six Bundesliga outings.
Like the home side, Wolfsburg have their very own prolific goalscorer in the shape of giant Dutch striker Wout Weghorst, who has scored 17 times in the Bundesliga this season.
At the other end of the pitch, the Wolves have the joint-tightest defence in the Bundesliga, alongside RB Leipzig, having conceded just 22 goals in the German top-flight this season.
Eintracht Frankfurt look set to be without Martin Hinteregger, Felix Irorere, Almamy Toure, Ragnar Ache and Jabez Makanda through injury.
Wolfsburg are without the suspended Paulo Otavio, while Renato Steffen and Admir Mehmedi could also miss out through injury.
