Everton vs Crystal Palace

MON 5 APR 2021 – KO 18:00

Everton vs

Everton take on Crystal Palace on Monday evening, with the hosts looking to not make it three consecutive defeats in the Premier League.

The Toffees made it two losses in two last time out when they were beaten 2-0 by Burnley. This was a game Everton needed to win really if they wanted to try and mount an actual top-four challenge.

For Ancelotti, taking Everton back to European football would be huge. Currently, they are five points off of the top four, but with a game in hand. They can still get there, but need to get back to winnings ways this weekend.

Everton look set to hopefully have some key players back next week. Calvert-Lewin has looked good on the international break and would love to start scoring again in the league after a quiet spell.

Unlike Everton, Palace won their last game, beating struggling West Brom 1-0. The result moved them up to 12th, but it still wasn’t a lot for fans to cheer about after it was another dull performance.

Palace fans feel they should be doing far better with the players they have. It looks like this summer there will be big changes at the club though, with the manager and 11 players out of contract.

We expect Palace to take the game to Everton. Given that they are in poor form and the visitors have some fantastic attacking options in Zaha and Eze. Palace could be exposed at the back though, which has been a cause for concern this season.

Team News

Doucoure and Gbamin are out for Saturday’s game. Olsen, Delph, James and Pickford are doubts with injury.

McCarthy, Mitchell, Clyne, McArthur, Tomkins and Ferguson are all out whilst Sakho is doubtful.

Match Prediction

Given the number of key injuries, Palace has, we are backing the hosts to get back to winning ways and get closer to the top four.

Odds 4/5
