BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW

Everton vs

Everton take on Aston Villa on Thursday night, with the visitors needing something from the game if they want any hope of staying up!

Everton

After starting off the return to football well, Everton are now in a rough patch. They haven’t won in their last three games, which has included two defeats. This has always been Everton’s problem, they aren’t consistent enough and lose to bottom-half teams.

However, with Ancelotti in charge, they will have confidence that he can turn it around and they will be hoping it starts against Aston Villa. Villa has already had the better of Everton this season though beating them 2-0.

Everton do boast a very good home record though. They are ten games unbeaten at Goodison Park, and they will be confident of carrying this on on Sunday.

Aston Villa

Dean Smiths side go into this one knowing they need to at least get a point to try and scrape their way out of the bottom three. They are currently four points from safety, with three games to go.

They go into this one off the back of a huge 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. This will give the side a lot of confidence. Villa though do struggle away. This season they have managed just two wins and three draws away from home and will need to add one more tomorrow night.

Goodison Park is a tough place to go when it is rocking, but now there are no fans their cheerings The Toffees on can, Villa take advantage of this?

Team News

Everton have major injury problems in midfield with Jean-Philippe Gbamin looking set to miss out, while Andre Gomes and Fabian Delph are also major doubts.

Aston Villa have a full squad with no injuries and suspensions.

Match Prediction

Everton have blown their chances of European football and aren’t really playing for anything. Villa, on the other hand, are playing for their lives and we can see them getting a point at Goodison.
