BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Monday evening, Burnley host Crystal Palace at Turf Moor. The hosts are still looking for their first Premier League win of the season.
It’s been a terrible start to the season for Burnley. They have played eight games in the Premier League, and the best result they’ve managed is two goalless draws. As you’d expect, this run of results has put Sean Dyche’s men in the relegation zone.
Burnley’s issues stem from their misfiring strikers, the front men have only scored three goals so far this season. Two of those goals came against Leicester in a 4-2 defeat on opening day. Dyche’s side will need to find a solution to this before it becomes too late!
Burnley were beaten here last season by Palace but did end up beating them at Selhurst Park and finishing four places above them. The hosts will take confidence from this knowing that they can beat them.
Hodgson’s side got back to winning ways in their last game against Leeds. It was a very impressive performance in which they came away with a 4-1 win. The result saw them go to eight in the table, three points off of the top four.
However, Palace shouldn’t get carried away. This was only their second win in six games. Zaha needs to get back to the early form that seen him get four goals in the opening fives games to break down Burnley’s defence.
The win at Turf Moor last season will give Palace lots of confidence. We don’t think it’ll be like the last game where they scored for fun and the visitors will have to be clinical.
Burnley could be without Erik Pieters, Phillip Bardsley, Dale Stephens and Jack Cork.
Palace have a big list of players missing. Milivojevic is still suspended whilst Hennessey, Wickham, Ferguson and Tomkins are all confirmed to be out. Ward, Mitchell and Eze are all doubts.
