On Saturday afternoon, Hoffenheim and Dortmund go head-to-head at the PreZero Arena, as both teams look to build on their two Bundesliga wins so far this season.

Hoffenheim

Sebastian Hoeness’ team opened their Bundesliga campaign with wins over Koln and reigning champions Bayern Munich. However, last time out they suffered a 2-1 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt. The defeat ended a five-game winning run dating back to last season for the team from Sinsheim.

The home side has been potent of late in the German top-flight, scoring at least two goals in five of their previous seven matches.

Hoffenheim have a mixed recent home record in the Bundesliga, but they have won three of their last four home matches in the league while scoring at least three goals in each of the wins.

Another positive for the home team is the fact that they are unbeaten on home soil in seven games in all competitions against Dortmund.

Dortmund

Lucien Favre’s team have a similar record to their hosts this season, winning two of their three Bundesliga matches this season. Last time out BVB hammered Freiburg 4-0 at Signal Iduna Park. The win followed a 2-0 defeat at Augsburg and a 3-2 Super Cup loss against Bayern Munich.

The visitors recent league form has been highly inconsistent, as they have won three and lost three of their previous six games in the Bundesliga going back to the end of last season.

However, Dortmund do have a strong recent away record in the German top-flight, as the defeat against Augsburg ended a six-game winning run on their travels for BVB in the Bundesliga.
