On Saturday evening, Bayern Munich face a potential banana skin, as the reigning German champions travel to Deutsche Bank Park to face tricky opponents in Eintracht Frankfurt.

Despite the recent poor run of league form, the Eagles are still just six points off the Champions League spots. They have also been one of the more successful teams against Bayern in recent seasons. In fact, they have won the last two meetings with the reigning champions, including a shock 2-1 win at the Allianz Arena earlier this season.

The boys from Bavaria once again look set for the German top-flight title. It would be their tenth straight domestic title. Bayern are currently six points clear of perennial title rivals Dortmund. Last time out in the Bundesliga, Julian Nagelsmann’s team recorded a 4-1 home win over rock-bottom Greuther Furth.

The win over Furth means that Bayern have won four of their last five league games, having scored at least three goals in all four victories.

A 4-2 defeat at Bochum in their last away match in the Bundesliga ended a four-game winning run in the league for the champions on their travels.

Eintracht Frankfurt are without the suspended Kristijan Jakic, while Ragnar Ache, Diant Ramaj and Goncalo Paciencia could miss out through injury. Meanwhile, Bayern are expected to be without Manuel Neuer, Kingsley Coman, Leon Goretzka, Alphonso Davies and Corentin Tolisso through injury.
