Bournemouth vs Leicester
SUN 12th JULY 2020 – KO 19:00pm
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Sunday evening, Bournemouth host Leicester at the Vitality Stadium in a vital Premier League game at both ends of the table.
The Cherries could be heading to the Championship after a poor recent run of form in the Premier League. They are now three points away from safety in the top-flight.
A 0-0 draw at home against Tottenham last time out means that Eddie Howe’s team have failed to pick up a victory in their nine league games. The draw ended a five-game losing streak for the home side in the Premier League.
Poor defensively displays have hindered the Cherries survival hopes, as they have conceded at least two goals in seven of their last nine matches. Bournemouth have also struggled for wins on home soil of late in the Premier League, winning just twice in their previous 11 games.
The Foxes are still in a strong position to finish in the Champions League spots, despite an inconsistent recent run of form. Brendan Rodgers team have slipped to fourth place, a point clear of fifth-place Manchester United. However, they are seven points ahead of sixth-place Wolves. If the Foxes win and Wolves fail to beat Everton at Molineux, the team from the Midlands are guaranteed a top-five finish.
Victories have been hard to come by in the league for Leicester, as they have won just one of their previous five matches in the Premier League. They have also suffered just one defeat, with draws dominating their recent outings.
Bournemouth look set to be without Simon Francis, Charlie Daniels and Adam Smith due to injury, while Chris Mepham, Jack Simpson and David Brooks are all fitness doubts. Leicester are without injured duo Ricardo Pereira and Daniel Amartey, while Ben Chilwell and James Maddison are injury doubts.
