Besiktas v Antalyaspor
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Saturday evening, Besiktas host Antalyaspor at Vodafone Park in the Super Lig, as the home side look to make up ground on the top four in the Turkish top-flight.
Besiktas are fifth-place in the table, five points adrift of the top-four and the European qualification spots. The home side heads into this clash on the back of a four-game unbeaten run in the Turkish top-flight. Last time out, Sergen Yalcin’s team drew 0-0 at Galatasaray. The draw means that Besiktas have won just two of their last five league matches.
The home sides recent Super Lig matches have been relatively high-scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in ten of their last 14 league matches.
Besiktas have enjoyed mixed fortunes on home soil in the Turkish top-flight of late, as they have won three, drawn one and lost two of their last six games at Vodafone Park.
Antalyaspor are just five points above the relegation zone and know that they could still get sucked into the fight for survival in the Turkish top-flight.
The visitors are unbeaten in eight games in the Super Lig, although four of the eight undefeated games did finish in draws. Last time out the visitors recorded a 1-0 home win over Sivasspor.
The result ended a run of games in which both teams had scored for Antalyaspor, as both teams had scored in the previous five league games.
Tamer Tuna’s team are four games unbeaten on their travels in the Turkish top-flight. However, they have also won just two of their last nine away games in the Super Lig.
Besiktas will be without Dorukhan Tokoz, Douglas and Gokhan Gonul due to injury, while experienced striker Burak Yilmaz is suspended.
For the visitors, Charles and Bahadir Ozturk look set to miss out due to injury.
