BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Saturday evening, Bayern Munich host RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena, as the home side looks to maintain their position at the top of the Bundesliga.
The reigning German and European champions are in their almost perennial position at the top of the Bundesliga table. The Bavarians are two points clear of Saturday’s visitors, who are currently second in the table.
Since suffering a shock 4-1 defeat at Hoffenheim in gameweek two, Bayern are unbeaten in seven league games, recording an impressive six victories. Last time out Hansi Flick’s team won 3-1 at new boys Stuttgart. Prolific Polish striker Robert Lewandowski took his Bundesliga goal tally to 12 in just eight appearances in the clash.
Bayern are truly formidable at the Allianz Arena, as they are 14 league games unbeaten on home soil, having recorded 12 wins and two draws.
Julian Nagelsmann’s team have not been overly convincing of late. However, a 2-1 win over Arminia Bielefeld last time out means that Die Roten Bullen have won five of their last seven outings in the Bundesliga. The game saw Spanish wing-back Angelino score his fourth league of the campaign. The former Manchester City star is Leipzig’s top scorer this season in the German top-flight.
Leipzig’s recent away form has been underwhelming in the Bundesliga, as they have won just once in their last four games. However, they did earn a goalless draw at the Allianz Arena last season.
Bayern will be without left-back Alphonso Davies and midfielder Joshua Kimmich through injury.
RB Leipzig are expected to be without forward Hee-Chan Hwang due to illness, while Lukas Klostermann, Fabrice Hartmann, Konrad Laimer and Benjamin Henrichs could all miss out through injury.
