After a terrible start to the season, West Ham have made the very controversial decision of re-appointing David Moyes
Ever since his disastrous time at Man United, David Moyes has struggled to regain his reputation as a good manager. He was sacked after just 10 months in charge of the club that Sir Alex had just left. This was the third shortest managerial period in the clubs history.
After this, he had stints at Real Sociedad, Sunderland and then finally West Ham. He joined the London club in November of the 2017/18 season. He helped keep the club up after what was another awful start to the campaign, this time under Slavan Bilic
Moyes though didn’t get the job at the end of the season and the club appointed Manuel Pellegrini. This was seen as a huge appointment for West Ham as they were getting a Premier League winning manager.
After coming 10th in his first season in charge, things were looking promising. However, this season hasn’t been so good and the club finds themselves in 17th, only one point about the bottom three. After losing 2-1 to Leicester at home on Saturday the club decided to part ways with him and bring back David Moyes, much to the disappointment of many West Ham fans.

Where do West Ham go from here?
The fact that he’s only been given an 18-month contract says that this probably won’t be a long term appointment. West Ham plays at the Olympic Stadium which is one of the best grounds in the country.
Given that and the fact it’s in London, they should be attracting some top players. West Ham now though will be just hoping for Moyes to keep them up. At 5/2 on Betway, they are one the favourites go down. However, their squad is more than good enough to stay up this season.
They are currently only six points off being in the top 10 and also have a game in hand. Should Moyes get this team playing as well as they can and keep everyone fit this is definitely an interesting bet. At 8/1 it may seem a long shot but six points in 19 games isn’t a lot in the Premier League.
Up next for them is the visit of Bournemouth. The Hammers are the 19/20 favourites but Bournemouth will fancy themselves with West Hams form and at 13/5 it’s a good price.
