With a lack of football at the minute, Paddy Power has started the World Cup of celebrations, and you can bet on the winner!
At the moment, football is currently on hold. Because of this, we have had various alternatives of football to keep us entertained. Recently FIFA 20 heald a tournament between the 20 Premier Leauge clubs to see who would win. Wolves and Diogo Jota beat Liverpool in the final, to win the first ePremier League invitational.
Now, Paddy Power has come up with their own idea. They are hosting the World Cup of celebrations, on their twitter account. Some of the most iconic celebrations in football will be put into four different groups. These groups will then be added to a poll on Twitter, in which users can vote on.
You can also bet on who you think will win the competition on Paddy Power. The max stake is £/€20.
The World Cup of celebrations
Emmanuel Adebayor vs Arsenal – 5/2
The favourite for this World Cup of celebrations is this controversial one from the former Man City striker. Adebayor joined Arsenal in 2006 and spent three seasons there, scoring 46 league goals. In 2009 though he left the club for a big-money move to Man City.
This move came with much criticism from Arsenal fans, as they felt he was moving for the money. Adebayor got off to a good start at City and had scored in his first three games.
His fourth game was against his old club and the away fans had been giving him abuse all game. The game was a feisty one with Adebayor being on both ends of some big challenges. He got his chance to give it back to them and that’s exactly what he did. He scored a header against them and then proceeded to run the full length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the travelling Arsenal fans. His old fans never forgave him for this and to make it worse he then went and joined Spurs…

Peter Crouch – Robot – 10/3
Whenever anyone thinks about Peter Crouch, they think about his robot celebration. After breaking into the England team in 2005, Crouch was looking towards the 2006 World Cup. England played Jamaica in a World Cup warm-up game at Old Trafford. England came out as 6-0 winners and Crouch got three of them.
Once he had rounded off his hat-trick, to everyone surprise he pulled out the robot. The crowd loved it and it stuck with him ever since. When Crouch scored his 100th Premier League goal, he did the robot once again.

Wayne Rooney – Knock out – 18/1
Man United were playing Tottenham in a big game in the league. The day before, a video leaked in the press of Rooney and Phil Bardsley boxing in his house. Bardsley appeared to have caught Rooney with a good shot and it knocked him to the ground. Rooney didn’t get up and it looked like he was out cold.
The next day, the English forward scored past Spurs. To celebrate he ran to the corner of the pitch and shadowboxed before falling to the flaw and making a joke of the situation.
