After dropping points again last night to Arsenal, Manchester United have no made their worst start to a Premier League season in 30 years!

Things haven’t got any easier for Man United this season. They ended the 18/19 season on a bad run of form, winning just one out of their last seven games. Many fans were hoping and were confident that this season would be much better.

Their summer recruitment seemed to have got off to a perfect start. They beat Chelsea on the opening day of the Premier League season 4-0. New signing Daniel James got himself a goal, as well as very impressive debuts from Wan-Bissaka and Maguire.

However, since then they have won just one game in their last six. This has included a 2-0 defeat to West Ham and a 2-1 loss at Old Trafford to Crystal Palace.

Last night they took the lead through a McTominay worldie but this was cancelled out when Aubameyang equalised through a Tuanzebe mistake. This was another frustrating night for Solskjaer, who saw his side take the lead and not win for the third time this season.

This result now see’s Man United in tenth place, 12 points off the leaders Liverpool. However, realistically the Red Devils were never going to win the league this season. They are in the process of rebuilding the club and getting in the top four is their priority.

They are now three points off fourth place but need to turn around their form quickly before that gap gets even bigger!

Their next three games are Newcastle (a), Liverpool (h) and Norwich (a). These are all going to be tough games, with United not winning away yet this season. Liverpool will without doubt be the hardest game out of the three, but if United can come away with six points, that will be a good return considering their recent form.

After this, things get a little easier. United then face the two other promoted sides, as well as Bournemouth and Brighton. These four sides aren’t in the best of form and pose a good opportunity for United to put some points on the board.

A 14th Premier League title seems a long way away but you can back them to do it at 200/1 on Betfred. United would need all their players fit and every other teams players to somehow all get injured to give them any hope. It doesn’t look great but we would have said the exact same when Leicester won the league!

Top four is more their aim and this is at a far more realistic 9/4 on Betfred. The thing they have in their favour is they are going through their worst patch at the minute, and are still only three points off. The other top teams challenging them for top four don’t look at their best either so a good run would put United right back up there.
