The talents of Chelsea starlet, Ruben Loftus-Cheek haven’t gone unnoticed and he has finally channelled his ability into some goals.
Since his professional debut in 2014, Loftus-Cheek has made just over sixty appearances. Twenty-five of them for Crystal Palace when he was out on loan during the 17-18 campaign. It is clear from first glance that the Englishman is a strong unit and when you see him play, it is a bit of a shock that he is one of the quickest players on the pitch at any point.
The 22-year-old has played all over the pitch in midfield but his strongest position would probably be as a Central-Attacking Midfielder. This proved to be a fact when Chelsea faced BATE on Thursday night when he bagged himself his first professional hat-trick. The line-up portrayed him as a central midfielder, however, watching him throughout the night he had a lot of freedom in the centre of the park. Besides his second goal, the other two began with Ruben finding himself in acres of space, followed by a calm finish. He demonstrated last night that he can score goals and now he has a few to his name, hopefully, for him, the rest will follow. Loftus-Cheek is now the second highest scoring player in the Europa League this season.
