Jack Grealish Attacked By Fan

Jack Grealish was attacked from behind by a fan in the Second City derby!

On Sunday afternoon Birmingham hosted Aston Villa in the Second City derby. It’s usually a feisty game but only between the players. However, this all changed when a fan attacked Grealish.

It was in the tenth minute of the game and the ball had gone out of play at Birmingham’s end of the pitch. Grealish had turned around to get back into position when the Birmingham fan entered the pitch. He ran over to Grealish and hit him around the head. The Villa captain hit the floor and then his teammates and stewards went and grabbed the fan.

Grealish dealt with the situation very well. He stayed sitting on the floor and didn’t react. As the fan was being dragged away he could be seen to be blowing kisses towards Birmingham fans. He has since been arrested and will appear in Birmingham Magistrates Court today and is being charged with encroachment on to the pitch and assault.

For Grealish and Villa’s fans delight, their captain had the last laugh when he scored the only goal of the game to win 1-0. The goal came in the 67th minute. Grealish got the ball on the edge of Birmingham’s box. He takes the ball inside and shoots across the goal from about 16 yards out. He somehow managed to get the ball past all the bodies in the way and place it into the bottom right corner.

Grealish said after the game it was the greatest day of his life. Being a Villa fan himself and captaining his side away to their biggest rivals he sure enjoyed his day. Villa now need to kick on if they want to make the playoffs. They are four points behind the play-off places with eight games to go.
