Is It A Bird, Is It A Plane? No, Its Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo comes to Juventus’ rescue when he scored an unbeliavable header against Sampdoria to send his side back to the top of Serie A
Last night Juventus took on Sampdoria in a must-win game for Sarri’s side. They were looking to go top of the Seria A with a win against the side in 16th place. Inter Milan have been keeping up with Juve, but a draw in their last two games has given the Italian champs chance to getaway.
This should have bee a fairily routine game for the side who have only lost once all season. The game got off to the perfect start for Juventus with Dybala scoring a worldie of his own. Left-back Alex Sandro picked him out with a cross for the Argentine to volley it first time into the bottom left corner.
Juventus though weren’t looking comfortable with this lead and Sampdoria got one back. Sandro, the provider for the first goal now helped provide the second. He got caught on the ball and the home side took it off him and counter-attacked finishing with a goal to make it 1-1.
Ronaldo was involved in the game and nearly set up both Higuain and Dybala with a fantastic cross of his own. Unfortunately, though both men were about a hard off as the ball went racing past the post. Eventually, though Juventus got that all-important goal.
Sandro once again the provider found Ronaldo at the back post. The five time Ballo d’Or winner climbed above the Sampdoria defender and headed home. This was an unbelievable header as Ronaldo hung in the air for what seemed ages. His feet were nearly above the defender who could do nothing to stop the Portuguese forward.
Ronaldo has a history of doing this having scored goals like it against Chelsea in the Champions League final and against Man United.

Juventus on the hunt for trophies
The win now sees Juve back at the top of the Serie A and three points clear of Inter. They will be looking to increase this distance and win their ninth title in a row. They are favourites to do so on Betway at 4/9 with Inter behind them at 5/2.
On top of this, they are also through to the next round of the Champions League. They have drawn Lyon away in the first leg and will be confident of progressing through to the quarters. Lyon have just picked up a season-ending injury to Depay.
Juve have been desperate to win this competition for years now and signing Ronaldo was meant to fill the gap. It hasn’t worked yet but the competitions most successful player is still at the club and at 11/1 with Betway, it could be a great outsider.
