Carragher is back from his controversial departure from Sky Sports and instead of spitting at United fans, he has embraced their new home kit and worn it live on MNF.
It all started when the bromance couple, Gary Neville & Jamie Carragher challenged each other to a penalty shootout. The stakes were high, whoever missed would have to wear the oppositions jersey. The former United Full-back stepped up first and hit a disappointing effort at goal which Carra saved with his backside. They swapped positions and Carragher banged his spot-kick in the bottom corner. Neville was left gutted as a long-time Manchester United supporter having to wear a Liverpool shirt is his kryptonite.
Monday Night Football came along as Liverpool took on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Following Liverpool’s 2-0 win, Carragher passed Neville the Liverpool shirt with Shaqiri on the back. Neville had heavily criticised Shaqiri and a signed shirt with a heartfelt note from the Swiss went underappreciated. A previous bet between the pair meant Carragher would have to wear a United top. They were both good sports and wore the tops, however, Gary seemed a little more reluctant than his colleague.
