Chelsea are set to parade their Champions League trophy to the Stamford Bridge fans for the first time since the final before the pre-season game against Spurs!
Due to only around 6,000 Chelsea fans being allowed to attend the Champions League final, an awful lot still haven’t been able to see the trophy. Usually, clubs will do a bus parade around the ground and nearby roads with fans filling the streets.
However, Chelsea also weren’t able to do a bus parade, so have been waiting for the right time to show the fans. Next week they take on Spurs at home in a pre-season friendly and the club have decided this is the perfect time to do so!
With Spurs being one of Chelsea’s biggest rivals, this as you would expect has gone down differently with either set of fans. The Chelsea players will take the trophy around the pitch prior to kick-off, before being interviewed about the final.
Spurs have never won the Champions League and were beaten in the final in 2019 by Liverpool. So for the traveling Spurs fans, this could be the closest they ever get to the biggest prize in club football!
Chelsea and Spurs are playing each other as part of the Mind Series, which also features Arsenal. A portion of each of the ticket sales for all of the games will go to the mental health charity Mind.

Can Chelsea Make It A Champions League Double?
Last season, no one expected Chelsea to win the Champions League, certainly when they were under Frank Lampard. When Tuchel came in though, he got them playing much better football and did deserve to come away with the trophy.
This year, they are the fourth favourites with Betfair, priced at 15/2. They are yet to make any signings this summer to add to their already strong squad but have been linked with several big players and they will bring someone in.
Chelsea have a strong defence and competitions are won on this. They could win the Champions League again this season, but will either need to find a way to get the best out of Timo Werner or bring in another striker.
