BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Sunday night, Arsenal host Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium, with Arteta’s side looking to kick on after their win at Old Trafford last weekend.
The Gunners have enjoyed a mixed start to the Premier League campaign. In their last six games, they have won two, lost two and drawn two. One of their wins came against Man United last weekend, with Aubamayeng scoring the only goal of the game.
Arteta is slowly creating a good side at Arsenal and new boy Partey looked the real deal last weekend. He has made his side a tough one to score past, and they now have conceded the least amount of goals in the league with seven.
It’s in front of goal they need to improve. Arsenal have just nine goals themselves this season and for a front line like theirs, this isn’t good enough. Villa are on level points with Arsenal and on one less game so they shouldn’t take them for granted.
After the perfect start to the season for Aston Villa, it seems to have hit the breaks recently. They were beaten 4-3 last weekend by Southampton in what was an end to end game.
Dean Smith won’t be too worried though as he couldn’t have imagined winning their first four games. Villa have also been solid at the back, whilst also one of the top scorers in the league.
The addition of Watkins and Barkley has helped take the pressure off of Grealish and we are seeing the best of him as a result. These three will all need to be on form Sunday night though to give their side the best chance.
Arsenal’s will be without Martinelli, Pablo Mari and Calum Chambers Sunday. These are all fringe players, who won’t be too big of a miss.
Heaton is still out for Villa along with Traore, Hause and Moraes.
