BETTING & MATCH PREDICTION
On Sunday afternoon, Arsenal and Tottenham clash at the Emirates Stadium, in what could prove to be a fascinating north London derby in the Premier League.
The Gunners look to be finding their feet after a poor start to their Premier League campaign, as Mikel Arteta’s team lost their opening three league matches. However, things are looking slightly brighter after back-to-back 1-0 wins over Norwich and Burnley.
It won’t just be the wins that will please everybody connected with the Gunners, but also the fact that their team has managed to keep two straight clean sheets too.
Arsenal have a decent recent home record, as they have won three of their last four home games in the English top-flight.
The Gunners won the last meeting between these two teams 2-1 back in March. However, it was their only victory over Tottenham in six matches in all competitions against their arch-rivals.
The visitor’s campaign seems to be going in the opposite of their rivals. Nuno Espirito Santo’s team won their opening three Premier League games while keeping three straight clean sheets. However, Spurs have now suffered back-to-back 3-0 defeats against Crystal Palace and Chelsea.
Tottenham’s recent away form could not be any more inconsistent, as the visitors have won two, drawn two and lost two of their previous six league games on their travels. Spurs may have picked up better away results if were not for some poor defensive displays, as the visitors have conceded at least two goals in five of their last six away matches in English top-flight.
Team News Arsenal have no definite absentees. However, Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny is an injury doubt.
Tottenham have doubts over the fitness of Ryan Sessegnon, Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura. Heung-Min-Son could return to the squad after injury.
This north London derby is likely to be a close one. However, we are backing Arsenal to record a third straight league victory.
PREDICTION – HOME WIN
