Wolfsburg v Monchengladbach
BETTING & MATCH PREVIEW
On Sunday afternoon, Bundesliga leaders Monchengladbach face a tricky trip to face Wolfsburg at the Volkswagen Arena.
Wolfsburg’s form has slipped slightly of late in the German top-flight. In fact, the Wolves have won just once in their last seven Bundesliga matches. A 1-0 defeat at Freiburg last time out also means that the home side has lost four of their last five league games.
Oliver Glasner’s side has struggled for goals of late, failing to score in four of their last six matches in the German top-flight.
The recent poor run of form in the Bundesliga has seen Wolfsburg slip to ninth-place in the table, still only five points off the Champions League spots.
The Wolves’ recent home record in the German top-flight is poor of late, as they have won just once in their previous six league matches on home soil.
Monchengladbach have been the standout team in the Bundesliga. The Foals currently sit top of the table, but just a point clear of second-place RB Leipzig.
Last time out in the Bundesliga, Marco Rose’s team recorded a massive 2-1 win over reigning champions Bayern Munich. The victory means that the visitors have won five of their last six league outings.
A big factor in those recent wins has been that the Foals have been lethal in front of goal, scoring at least two goals in all those aforementioned five victories.
One worry for the visitors is the fact that they have lost two of their last three away games in the Bundesliga.
Wolfsburg look set to be without Ignacio Camacho and Niklas Klinger due to injury.
Monchengladbach are without the suspended Denis Zakaria, while Andreas Poulsen, Torben Musel and Ibrahima Traore are expected to miss out due to injuries.
